Gerber Life Insurance Company strives to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.
Our complaint process is as follows:
- If you have a question regarding your policy or service, please contact our Customer Service at 1-800-518-8884. You may also submit a written complaint to GLIC-Canada-Complaints@us.nestle.com. Please include your full name, address, insured's name and policy number along with your written complaint, if applicable.
- You will receive an acknowledgment of our receipt of your complaint and an estimated time period for review.
- Upon completion of our internal review, you will receive a letter that explains our complaint resolution.
The complaint process takes several weeks and we anticipate replying to your complaint within 30 business days.
If, after receiving our final response, you would like to pursue the matter further, you should be aware of the following external recourse options available to you.
- The OmbudService for Life & Health Insurance (OLHI) at www.olhi.ca or 1-888-295-8112 may take on your case following our final response, or if you have not received our final response within 90 days. OR
- In Quebec, you may ask that your file be transferred to the Autorite des marches financiers (AMF) at www.lautorite.qc.ca or 1-877-525-0337.
